Where originals go

Uploaded originals are processed by the configured TraceLens API and worker. They remain private to your account, with original hashes and source citations.

What AI receives

Metadata-only mode shares a restrictive set of IDs and signal categories. Redacted mode adds bounded engineering semantics, measurements and case-scoped entity aliases. Raw logs, packet payloads, cookies and credential values are excluded.

Retention and deletion

Choose retention when creating an investigation. Deleting a case removes its evidence and reports; deleting your account removes its investigations. Operational backup retention is managed separately by the deployment operator.

Verify the transfer

Use “What will AI see?” in the evidence panel. The preview describes the latest completed revision and shows whether edits made it stale. Redaction is bounded; review exported reports before sharing.

Sanitized semantics

Relationships survive through per-case aliases. Secrets are represented only by presence/type, never by token values or stable token fingerprints. Unknown source fields are omitted.

Local processing

The local command-line analyzer can produce a sanitized evidence bundle without uploading originals. See the repository’s local-analysis guide for supported formats, commands and limitations.
